Chapter 30 Hosts 12th Annual Gold and Blue Star Mothers Luncheon
On Sunday, April 28, Blue Star Mothers CA30 held their 12th Annual Gold and Blue Star Mothers Luncheon, bringing together a special group of women for a day of reflection, connection, and support. This year’s event took place at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco, California, and was attended by 18 Gold Star Mothers and 35 Blue Star Mothers. Members of the Corona and Norco City Councils were also honored guests at the event.
A Day of Laughter and Reflection
The luncheon provided a warm and welcoming environment for both Gold and Blue Star Mothers to come together, share stories, and build a sense of camaraderie. The room was filled with laughter and tears, though the day was mostly marked by joy and connection. The event offered a safe space for these women to celebrate their shared experiences while honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Honoring Gold Star Families
One of the most poignant moments of the event was the viewing of the Gold Star Remembrance Tables, a touching tribute that honors fallen heroes. These remembrance tables provided an emotional moment of reflection, allowing guests to pause and honor the memory of those who have served. It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by Gold Star families.
Inspiring Words from Keynote Speaker Teresa Bullock
The keynote address, delivered by Teresa Bullock, added a deeply inspirational element to the luncheon. Her words resonated with the audience, offering both comfort and motivation to the mothers in attendance. Bullock’s speech was filled with wisdom, reminding attendees of the strength and resilience that define the Gold and Blue Star communities.
Patriotic Silent Auction and Fellowship
In addition to the luncheon and keynote address, attendees had the chance to participate in a patriotic Silent Auction. The auction offered a variety of items, allowing guests to shop while supporting the organization’s efforts. The day also provided plenty of opportunities for fellowship, as mothers from across the region bonded over shared experiences.
Looking Forward to Future Luncheons
The 12th Annual Gold and Blue Star Mothers Luncheon was a heartwarming and meaningful event for everyone in attendance. Chapter 30 remains committed to supporting both Blue Star and Gold Star families through gatherings like these, where laughter, tears, and lasting memories are shared.
